If you plan to go keto or try a low-carb diet in general probably did you hear the rumor that fruits are secretly loaded with carbohydrates. (Blueberries: We're looking at you.) But fortunately for you, not all fruits are created equal, leaving you with a ton of options which, quite frankly, are some of the best fruit there anyway. Here are the most common questions that people ask us:

What can I eat fruit on a low carb diet or a keto?

This depends entirely on the strict you are on your diet some people who follow the diet stick keto less than 20 net carbs per day, while others may be less than 50 net carbs. A low carb diet can be less than 150 net carbs, but it all depends on who you are, and we always recommend consulting a doctor. Raspberries, blackberries, lemon and coconut meat are the best bet for a low carb diet. Fruits that are higher in carbohydrates tend to be bananas, raisins, mangoes, blueberries, pineapples, and apples. (These higher carbohydrate fruits also offer many nutritional benefits, so it is important to note that they are not all evil.)

What fruit has the lowest net carbs?

Raspberries and blackberries! Eat 'em up.

Are low-carb fruit?

In general, not so much. Fruits are an important part of your diet and they pack serious nutrients such as vitamins, minerals and fiber. The fruits are naturally higher in carbohydrates because they contain sugar, unlike vegetables, but their overall nutritional value is obviously better than picking up a bowl of candy.

What are net carbs?

It is important to note that these carbohydrate accounts are measured by net carbs, no total carbohydrates. This means that total less fiber carbohydrates. Another important point to remember when checking this table is that these carbohydrate accounts are measured per 100 grams or 3.5 ounces.

What does it mean?

This means that you can eat just as a cup of raspberries for 5 net carbs, 14 small strawberries for 7 net carbs, an average clementine 8 net carbs, etc. We recommend you to buy a food scale to the most accurate information. This one pictured here is our favorite (and is right to be on sale now).
